Link Belt Cranes At Con Expo 2020

Link-Belt Cranes will be on display at booth F5211 at ConExpo 2020 in Las Vegas, Nevada. Among the units on display will be recent additions to Link-Belt’s rough terrain lineup, the 100-ton (90-mt) 100|RT and 120-ton (110-mt) 120|RT, along with the highly successful and market leading 110-ton (100-mt) HTC-86110 telescopic truck crane. Following extensive endurance, road, field-testing and the first shipment delivered in fourth quarter 2019, the 175-ton (150-mt) 175|AT will make its full North American unveiling. Additionally, the 300-ton (273-mt) 348 Series 2 lattice crawler crane will be on display – with several of the first shipments delivering in late 2019 in the southeastern U.S.

Link-Belt SmartFly

Link-Belt SmartFly will be front and center on multiple show machines at ConExpo 2020 in Las Vegas, Nevada. Development of Link-Belt SmartFly began with its introduction on the HTC-86110 telescopic truck crane. The early success came from a collaboration between Link-Belt engineering and voice of the customer – developing a streamlined process for fly assembly that can be easily understood by operators, minimizes work at height, and stands above countless industry methods. To date, Link-Belt has broadened SmartFly technology across multiple product lines – from on-highway truck cranes to telescopic crawler cranes, rough terrain cranes, and all-terrain cranes.

Link-Belt SmartFly system is easy to erect and stow because of a logical design that is robust, simple and an efficient one-person operation. At ConExpo 2020, Link-Belt SmartFly will be available on show units – TCC-800, 100|RT, 120|RT, HTC-86110, and 175|AT.

100|RT

First shipments of the 100-ton (90-mt) 100|RT rough terrain crane delivered in third quarter 2019 on a variety of projects ranging from general construction to chemical plant work. The 100|RT delivers outstanding reach with a five-section 40.6 - 155 ft. (12.3 – 47.2 m) full-power formed boom. Link-Belt SmartFly is available on the 100|RT – a two-piece [35 – 58 ft. (10.7 – 17.7 m)] on-board offsettable fly with manual offsets at 0, 15, 30 and 45 degrees. A 16 ft. (4.9 m) lattice insert extension provides a maximum tip height of 237 ft. (72.2 m).

The 100|RT’s six-speed transmission is powered by a dual compliant Cummins Stage V/Tier IV QSB 6.7L 232 hp (173 kW), also available is a Cummins Tier III QSB 6.7L 240 hp (179 kW) diesel engine. Four 29.5x25 tires mounted on axles affixed to the carrier via greaseless 4-link suspension, thereby eliminating ten previous grease points. Centralized electrical locations, remote mounted filters, and easy-access fluid checks make routine service a breeze. The 100|RT also features Link-Belt’s V-CALC (Variable Confined Area Lifting Capacities) system features infinite outrigger configurations with real time 360-degree charts.

120|RT

First shipments of the 120-ton (110-mt) delivered domestically and internationally in fourth quarter 2019 with several international shipments delivered to Jaidah Motors and Trading Co. in Doha, Qatar.

The 120|RT delivers outstanding reach with a six-section 38.3 – 164.1 ft. (11.6 – 50 m) pin and latch formed boom. Available Link-Belt SmartFly two-piece [35 - 58 ft. (10.7 – 17.7 m)] on-board offsettable fly with ground controls for fly assist and boom hoist cylinders and manual offsets at 0, 15, 30, and 45 degrees. One person fly erection technology minimizes work at height. Two 16 ft. (4.9 m) lattice insert extensions provide a maximum tip height of 261.7 ft. (79.8 m).

HTC-86110

The 110-ton (100-mt) HTC-86110 telescopic truck crane features a 164 ft. (50 m) main boom that outreaches the truck crane competition and challenges European-built all terrain cranes in its class. The HTC-86110 has been a reliable source for truck crane owners, particularly those with a taxi crane fleet.

Link-Belt truck cranes hold the largest market share in the North American truck crane market, and for 2020 we expect to see a steady market with growth.

Link-Belt SmartFly is also available with a 58 ft. (17.6m) on-board fly that features four offset positions of 0, 15, 30 and 45 degrees. The fly also features an integrated 10 ft. (3.0m) fly that reeves up to 4-parts of line and is capable of 26 US-ton (21.7mt) lifts. The 10 ft. (3.0m) fly is ideal for applications where two load lines are necessary for lifting one load. Two additional 16 ft. (4.9m) lattice boom extensions bring the maximum tip height to 261.6 ft (79.7m).

175|AT

175|AT is Link-Belt’s newest 5-axle all terrain crane and is loaded with features that crane owners have come to expect from Link-Belt. With a base rating of 175 US-tons and 150 metric tons, the 175|AT offers great reach, great capacities, and most notably, efficient transportability.

The 175|AT features a 197 ft. (60.1m) main boom that is six-sections of pin and latch telescopic boom that, like all Link-Belt formed booms, ride on Link-Belt’s time proven greaseless wear pads which means there’s no need to grease the bottom of this boom ever!

Link-Belt SmartFly on the 175|AT is a 55 ft. (16.8 m) on-board fly that features your choice of four manual offset positions or variable hydraulic offset range from zero to 45 degrees. The 175AT also features an integrated 10 ft. (3.0 m) fly that is ideal for applications where two loads lines are necessary for lifting one load. Three additional 18 ft. (5.4 m) lattice boom extensions bring the maximum tip height to 315 ft. (96 m).

On the road, the 175|AT is the class leader in displacement and power with the 15liter, 580 hp (432 kW) Cummins QSX15 engine. The chassis also features all-wheel ABS disc brakes, engine and powertrain braking, and speed dependent all-wheel steering.

348 Series 2

The 300-ton (272-mt) 348 Series 2 lattice crawler crane will be on display at ConExpo, debuting to a North American audience.

Just like any other Link-Belt lattice crawler, the 348 Series 2 completely self-assembles with a live mast quick draw cylinder. An all-new 13-piece counterweight removal system lifts up to 227,000 lbs. (102 965 kg) of upper counterweight and is designed for easy handling with fewer connection points. The full counterweight system is pinned and unpinned at ground level.

TCC-800

The new 80-ton telescopic crawler crane will begin field-testing early spring 2020, and first shipments scheduled in fourth quarter 2020. Its predecessor, the top selling telecrawler TCC-750, has been a cornerstone of the telecrawler market since its initial debut in 2008. At ConExpo 2020, the TCC-800 will be displayed in a four degree list, showcasing the crane’s versatility and workhorse chart.

The TCC-800 comes with a new four-section 38 ft. – 120 ft. (11.8 – 36.5 m) full-power boom that reaches a maximum tip height of 184.5 ft. (56.2 m) with full boom and Link-Belt’s SmartFly pinning system. The TCC-800 offers optional one or two-piece 35 – 58 ft. (10.6 – 17.6 m) fly.
