HPE Africa – specialists in the supply and support of construction equipment – celebrates 20 years of business this year.

“The HPE Africa team is committed to meeting exact market requirements and we work closely with our extensive customer-base, through the supply of equipment and parts, also providing a maintenance and repair service, to ensure high efficiency of every machine,” explains Ross, Collard, managing director of HPE Africa, part of the Capital Equipment Group (CEG) of Invicta Holdings Limited. “Feedback from customers indicates that the investment in quality equipment and the reliable support from HPE Africa are critical to them being able to achieve the goals of their operations.

“The HPE Africa team strives to meet the requirements of every customer, including matching the correct size machine to project requirements and the support of a dependable back-up service.

“In response to demand from industry for an expedient parts supply and assistance with on-site repairs to minimise downtime, we have extended our spare-parts delivery service, increased our field services fleet and enhanced our support service throughout South Africa.”

Repairs and services include minor and major component replacement, as well as re-building and refurbishment of units. The company has specialist divisions for engine repairs, hydraulics and boiler making, encompassing a bucket rebuild facility.

HPE Africa also offers maintenance programmes which are carried out in line with planned downtime schedules. Operator familiarisation courses ensure optimum performance and extended life from every machine.

The company has well equipped workshops in Gauteng, Durban, Cape Town and East London, which are supported by dealers in Limpopo, Northern Cape, Mpumalanga, Eastern Cape and Lesotho.

HPE Africa’s national workshop facilities are geared to assist customers with modifications of machines where necessary, enabling adaptability for specific tasks. All modifications are customised through close consultation between HPE Africa experts and end-users.

A critical part of the company’s growth programme includes skills training, which encompasses a focus on technical skills, sales and service, as well as management tools to empower staff to help drive and deliver enhanced customer service and business objectives.

HPE Africa – exclusive distributors in Southern Africa for Hyundai Construction Equipment – distributes Hyundai wheel loaders, wheeled and tracked excavators, backhoe loaders and skid steer loaders, as well as Soosan hydraulic hammers and McCloskey crushing and screening plants.

HPE Africa hosted a function recently to celebrate 20 years of business in 2020 and to also mark the move to its new head office.
