Sarens Siba South Africa has expanded its operations beyond Brakpan to Brits, where a new depot will cater specifically to the mining industry in the region.
The Sarens Siba depot in Brits, South Africa includes a yard with offices, meeting rooms, wash bay, maintenance facilities and parking facilities. On site, Sarens Siba offers the following equipment:
The new depot opening was conceived during the initial Covid-19 Level 5 lockdown in South Africa, as Sarens Siba leadership used the time to realign their business model and rethink strategy in the region. While Sarens had successfully been serving clients in civil, power, oil & gas, and construction segments up until then, heavy lifting and transport for the mining segment had always been done on a project and ad-hoc basis.
The new Brits depot will be able to serve clients more quickly, decrease delivery times and costs, and be at clients’ doorsteps whenever they require services. Additionally, it offers strategic advantages to clients in the mining industry, allowing them to achieve quicker turnaround times for crane requirement needs, as well as saving on mobilisation costs. The depot also opens the door for maintenance and shutdown activities, allowing Sarens to supply clients with a full scope for their turnarounds.
