Recently, several Zoomlion’s ultra-large tonnage tower cranes were transported from Zoomlion’s smart factory in Changde to Africa to assist in the Julius Nyerere Hydropower Project in Tanzania. The Julius Nyerere Hydropower Project is known as one of the largest water conservancy projects in Africa with a total installed capacity of 2115 MW.
Zoomlion’s client ordered two sets of T600-32U tower cranes and another three sets to follow. According to Zoomlion, the T600-32/25U is a best-selling equipment item among Zoomlion’s 4.0 products as it is efficient, reliable and incorporates the technology of the German company Jost.
At the construction site, Zoomlion’s T600-32/25U tower cranes cater to the requirements of “smooth operation and targeted movement” for PC module hoisting and construction with its lifting capability and micro-motion (moving speed can drop to 5mm/s). In the scenario where a cluster of tower cranes operate together, flat-top tower cranes that take up less space especially show a competitive edge over other types. Evenly distributed around the main infrastructure, Zoomlion’s T600-32/25U tower cranes enable full coverage across the project. The cranes are responsible for hoisting the project’s materials, and assist the client to accurately install heavy construction equipment as well as electromechanical equipment.
